growing up

My boy is 2 years and 3 months old, and he is starting to say goodbye to a few of the toys that he really loved just six months ago. I put away this fire truck a few months ago to rotate out new toys. When I brought it back out and filled it up, he completely ignored it. He just wasn't interested in it anymore. He also get's bored with Blue's Clues and Dora the Explorer already. He wants to watch bug and dinosaur documentaries these days. sigh.

new kind of sponge

So have you seen these new ocello sponges? I picked one out of a bin at walmart that said something like "even eggs and cheese don't stick!" and they are right! Amazing! The scratchy side is one solid piece with little nobbies of plastic that stick up - but not very far. Eggs rinse right off of either side of the sponge.

Kid's Contests

Grandmajam has an ongoing list of prizes and contests for kids. She even has a page of contests children can enter themselves. Go Grandma!

Cute contest

Win 7 nights at any Drury Inn & Suites plus a $100 gas card. Cute, they (supposedly) took this kind of nasty e-mail from someone who lives in Los Angeles telling them no one who's anyone wants to go stay in any of their boring, midwest hotels ... and turned it into a contest.

Keep 'Em Off My Couch ..

Geared towards parents so far, Keep 'Em Off My Couch! is a new blog (it only has three entries) but so far it looks like solid advice from a real person with experience in child rearing and just-plain common sense.

alpha omega comment

I revieved the alpha omega car seat and got this comment:

state: state New York
Realname: Jen
items: I love this car seat. I bought it for my at the time 1 year old, we got into a car accident and her car seat didn't budge. She was the only one that wasn't hurt. We had to replace her carseat because it was in an accident, we of course bought this carseat again. Then we had another baby - and bought the same car seat for her.

Thanks Jen - sounds like the alpha omega did well in your wreck.
