Hi, I'm Lisa. This website has really changed focus since I started it. I originally started it because I was buying so many toys to keep my son busy that I thought I could review them all online and create kind of a parent meeting place for parents. Well, somewhere along the way I figured out that buying all those toys for the purpose of occupying my son was damaging to my budget and my son's psyche. I hardly ever buy any toys for him anymore. I have a very like-minded friend and business partner, Ashlee, and we are now using these pages as a place to share our families' life lessons and daily triumphs.

A: Summed up in one sentence, we want this to be an introduction to positive, connected, attachment parenting and lifestyles for people who only know mainstream ways and can't figure out why they feel so crazy and bad and out of control most of the time.

We are both work-at-home, mostly mainstream moms struggling to keep our own identities while fitting into our roles as mothers. We fought our way through the early discipline days together, and mutually decided we didn't want to hit and shame and blame our children as our parents did to us. We are trying to learn to parent our children in positive ways - ways that promote loving, healthy relationships and strong, assertive children. We share reading lists, encouragement, and just support each other. We try to share what we learn here so other parents don't have to go through the struggles that we have.
