Learn How to Teach Life Skills to your Children

The Ebook Raise Your Kids Right the First Time Around teaches parents how to give their kids a solid foundation that their entire lives can be built on.

This book can eliminate nagging by the parent and whining by the child by teaching children to enjoy work, and explaining the value of work. This one simple trait could make a child's entire life happier.

I bought this ebook (it's very reasonably priced) after reading an excerpt from one of the author's classes. It was about pointing out to your child how short childhood really is in the scheme of your whole life, and what the purpose of it is. This class, about a child's timeline, combined with the other 'life lessons' in the book can show a child why he or she should listen to their parents and give the child the view of their parents as teachers of life skills. The words made so much sense, and the best part was that the author actually gave scripts of how to give the lesson.

I really enjoyed the book and found it to be full of wisdom about how to teach children to be responsible, hard-working, pleasant adults. I even took some of the words to heart myself about my own attitude and how I can be a better person.

This is not a parenting styles book, or a discipline book. This book tells how to teach life lessons and life skills with set classes once a week or so, and during actual work, like when cooking a meal. It gives practical suggestions on how to instill a love of work and a pleasant attitude during work, but does not tell you how to parent the rest of the time. It's not for children under 4 or 5 (when they are too young to sit still for a class or assimilate spoken examples into experience).
