About Ada Jane and Mabel

Ada, Jane, and Mabel are three small, blue, open-air coaches. These three trains are discontinued - for years now, and so will be extremely hard to find. I have seen them at eBay but for big bucks. You can expect to pay between 50 and $100 or maybe more.

Thomas motorized road and rail sets seemed to be for the littlest Thomas fans. Turn on is easy, just a flip of the switch. My boy, at 2 and one half, has put away his plastic set for good in favor of the wood and metal trains.

I think my boy was originally so fascinated with Thomas the the train sets because of the face on the trains. I can't remember which train he originally played with, maybe Edward or Thomas, but all the trains have those lifelike faces on the front of them. Joe's first trains were a used of lot of several trains from the ebay. My boy still has all of those trains and he plays with them all the time.

Thomas the tank engine and friends train and track are fantastic toys for girls and boys of all ages-as young as almost toddlers, to preschoolers, and children all the way up to 12. Good points of buying Thomas for a birthday or christmas present is, if they like it, you always know what to give them next time and they can start collecting Thomas. However, Thomas trains are not the most affordable gift out there. If your child likes Thomas you may also want to consider geotrax for the younger set and brio trains for less expensiveness.
