Rusty is a orange diesel, rather squarish, with his name on the side and a black border around his face. He is regular size but pretty unique looking. He was retired but can now be found in the rusty with construction cars set or individually at eBay. Although rusty is a diesel, he is nice and useful.

Rusty also comes with the Boulder Mountain Set, where little ones can replay the story in which Thumper knocks the boulder down the mountain.

The general theme of Thomas the Tank Engine dvd stories and books is hard work and getting along with others. Just about every engine's main goal is to be "Really Useful". Most episodes have a storyline where two engines have a conflict but then they figure out how to get along, and everyone is always working. I really like the general themes of most of these stories - when my child reenacts the stories I feel he is teaching himself life lessons.
