Salty the Kind Diesel Engine who Loves the Sea

Salty is available in wooden, take-along, and battery-powered form. He does not come with a tender but you may be able to get him with the ocean cars and he comes with the deluxe aquarium set. Since he doesn't come with a tender he will be one of the cheaper trains. Allaboardtrains has the wooden Salty for under $10.00 on sale sometimes.

Salty is a red diesel train with yellow and black framing his face. He has an older looking countenance with two teeth showing. He's the only one of Thomas' friends I can think of that we see his teeth.

Salty is fairly unique in that he is a hard-working and cooperative diesel train. Most of the other diesel trains are conniving and mean. Salty is older, loves the sea, tells plenty of stories, and can always get the troublesome trucks to do their jobs by singing while he works. He's a good friend to Thomas and strives to help the younger engines in their work.
